OUR INITIATIVE

SHARK EDUCATION:

Efforts to educate the public about the importance of sharks and the negative impacts of overfishing and finning can raise awareness and promote conservation.

RESEARCH:

Studies on shark populations, behavior, and biology can help to better understand these animals and inform conservation efforts.

SHARK ADVOCACY:

Working with policymakers and government agencies to implement laws and regulations that protect sharks and their habitats.

OCEAN CONSEVATION:

Working with local communities to promote sustainable shark fishing and alternative livelihoods, as well as conservation education.

AREA PROTECTION:

Designating areas as marine protected areas (MPAs) where shark fishing is prohibited or regulated.

INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENTS:

International agreements and conventions, such as the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) and the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS), also play an important role in shark conservation.

"No aquarium, no tank in a marine land, however spacious it may be, can begin to duplicate the conditions of the sea. And no dolphin who inhabits one of those aquariums or one of those marine lands can be considered normal."
